Our Wedding

Hannah and Gabe's story began during their college years, despite attending rival SEC schools—Hannah at Auburn University and Gabe at the University of Georgia. During a visit to Athens to see her cousin Dylan, Hannah met Gabe for the first time. What started as a chance introduction grew into a meaningful relationship as they stayed connected throughout college and medical school, despite the distance between them. Over time, their connection deepened, and they began dating before Hannah started medical school. Through every new chapter, they have supported one another along the way. Today, they live in Birmingham, Alabama, while Hannah completes her medical residency, and they are excited to celebrate the next chapter of their story with their family and friends.

The "Catholic Gap" has become a new term for me during this wedding planning process! Because there is a late afternoon mass at St. Paul's, our wedding is at 1:00 pm. But that give everyone some time to experience the best of Birmingham until the reception at 5:00 pm! Birmingham is known for its fun sites, food, and breweries. Here's a list of some of our favorites to visit!

We also have the Botanical Gardens where entry is free and you can see beautiful flowers year round!

This 54-acre linear park designed for preservation as a green way, is used for walking, jogging, reading, bird watching, and enjoying a picnic.&nbsp;Visitors are able to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while strolling along Shades Creek.&nbsp;Owls, hawks, raccoons, and fox are among the animals residing in the area, along with abundant native plant species.&nbsp;The natural beauty of the area makes Jemison Park one of the most popular walking attractions in Mountain Brook.&nbsp;The one mile concrete trail connects with the Nature Trail and the Watkins Trace Trail.&nbsp;Because it is tied in with the City’s sidewalk system, it is easily accessible to residents.&nbsp;There are also several parking spaces along Mountain Brook Parkway for parking.

Jemison Park

One of the state’s most popular attractions, the Birmingham Zoo, is an ever-evolving adventure. Guests come from around the Southeast to see animals such as red pandas, lion, giraffes, orangutans, rhinos, bears, elephants, zebras, a jaguar, and many more. From Trails of Africa to the Children’s Zoo and everything in-between, the Birmingham Zoo features animals from all over the world, with signage highlighting the Zoo’s amazing animal care, conservation initiatives, and Species Survival Plans. With approximately 550 animals of 180 species and endangered species from 6 continents, the Birmingham Zoo’s 122-acre site is the perfect place to visit any time of the year.
